The manufacture and maintenance of airframes and aerospace
engines utilise chemical processes to clean and inspect the
alloys, as well as to coat and protect against corrosion
and wear.
These processes demand pure water for rinsing and
replenishment and require ventilation to maintain a safe
working environment.
This creates waste water and contaminated air which need
correction before dispersion to the natural environment.
The aggressive nature of these processes, plus the considerable
size of structures processed make the provision of waste
correction facilities a considerable undertaking, and are
subject to the new IPPC regulations which call for continuous
improvement.
e-RPM has developed appropriate process technologies
and equipment for waste minimisation and pollution abatement,
specific to the aerospace industry. These processes can
be readily combined with existing installations, without
disruption
and ensuring sustainability in this important industry
segment.
